and eat rice cake with bean paste wrapped in a preserved cherry leaf called "Sakuramochi"?
Not yet? oh... should try it. The color is beautiful pink and the smell is unique.
The taste is amazing. You can eat just around April.
I recommend one shop of Japanese sweets.
I went to Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art recently.
As was a good day, took a walk beside of a stream near by there and found it.
The factory of "Gion Manjyu". You can buy at the entrance of factory. There were queue. They have several Japanese sweets of the season.
As "Gion Manjyu"shop is next to "Minamiza", can also buy there too.
Personalｌy with tea of Ippodo(An old tea company in Kyoto) is wonderful combination.
この間京都市近代美術館へ行った。
いつもはそこから仁王門通りか神宮通りを通って
三条に向かうのだけれど
その時は晴れていて近くを流れる小川沿いがきれいだったので
小川をくだることにした。
そしたら行列のある小さなお店を見つけた。
”祇園饅頭”工場。
お店は南座の横にもあるのだけれど
こちらでは工場の入り口で饅頭が売られている。
桜はもうほとんど散ってしまったけれど
春なので一度は桜餅を食べなければ。
5月の子供の節句も近づいているので柏餅も置いてあった。
おはぎも何種類かあって、にっき餅もおいしそうだった。
帰って一保堂のお茶と食すおはぎと桜餅。
京都の春万歳。
