☆Odawara Hojo Godai Festival☆

Date: May 2 (Sun) to May 3 (holiday)
Location: Odawara Joshi Park and other locations, Odawara-City

The Odawara Hojo Godai Festival, which features 1,800 people, is the largest tourist event in Odawara-City. Events on Sunday the 2nd include a memorial service in front of Hojo Godai’s grave (Soun-ji Temple, Hakone Yumoto) and a handmade armor parade. On the 3rd (holiday), a warrior departure ceremony (Akagane Gate Plaza), band performances, warrior groups, large-scale townspeople parade, wind instrument performances, and folk dance parade will be held.

1DAY CYCLE / WALK IN KYOTO

On a good sunny day like today it will be great to rent a bicycle for the whole day or take advantage of the  good sunny day in kyoto  and enjoy walking or cycling
Our day walk / cycle will start at  bakpak kyoto hostel  we will suggest a walk /cycle through gion  
district   via   maruyama park enjoy the scenery then to choin-in temple.Continue to nanzenji temple and to  heian shrine.Take a break at the heian shrine  relax and  have fun .
It will be great if you can also try the river banks of kamogawa just help you relax after the day sightseeing . we hope you enjoy your walk/cycle of kyoto city .

Mt. Takao Annual Spring Festival

The Buddhist temple on Mount Takao is formally known as Takao-san Yakuo-in Yuki-ji, and most commonly as Yakuo-in.
The Annual Spring Festival features Chigo-Gyoretsu (a parade of children in fancy attire), Yamabushi (a parade of mountain priests) in their traditional attire, and a corps of fire & drum. They start from in front of Jyuichi-chome Jaya (a tea house) near Takaosan Sta. of the cable car at around 11 am for Yakuo-in Temple, where Shishimai (Lion Dance) and Hashigo-nori (thrilling acrobatics on the ladder) are performed by Hikeshi (members of the old Edo Fire Brigade

Recommended place to go in tokyo this sunday

This sunday april 11th 2010  we recommend  the Earth day  Market  at yoyogo  park .
You also get the  chance to hang yoyogi park and get to see the sakura as well.
Available at the bazaar are tons and loads of souenirs, antiques and a whole lot .
You can also enjoy the food from the  stalls and vendors   .I recommend you get some fruit shake .

There will be also traditional dance at the meiji  jungu shrine  ..  dont miss it .

Take advanatage of the nice sunny day and  walk to harajuku hang around the shoppers  and the locals  as well - Harajuku is a shopping and entertainment district for japanese teenagers. Fashionable, cute and crazy dressing and make-ups. You need to be in Harajuku on Sunday to see it your self.
